Streaming Vs Downloading Explained - Article still buffering?
Introduction
I always had a simple question, is it better to download it all first or to 'Stream' it on the fly and watch it while its downloading. So should you stream or download a movie or something that you are watching (in incognito mode) Most of the time you don't have a choice, but its better to understand what you are doing. Well Here's what I found!Streaming
There are plenty of online streaming video services like Youtube, Foxtel, Netflix, etc. You can watch most of these on your computer or on your television via a range of devices. The best thing about streaming television shows is that you can access them where and when you want, even via smartphones and tablet computers. Take care streaming video on handheld gadgets using the phone networks though - you can get slugged with hefty data bills and slower internet speeds can buffer your videos for hours.
Usually Telecom companies provide mobile streaming video packages charged at a flat rate i.e. if you download a data, you will be charged from your pack or from your download usage limit (at least in India) but if you stream data, it is considered as surfing which is free (at least in India) which could be a cheaper option if you want to watch the smallest screen all day.
