If you want to use audible reader, you can get NonVisual Desktop Access/NVDA. The installer has portable option, and it's really clean—no registry or data folder created on local computer.

Portability Notes

• Adobe Digital Editions do not have portable mode. It stores its settings in Windows registry and data folders while running.
• Make sure it exits cleanly before plugging out your thumbdrive.
• You can help by sending request to the official developer to add "portable mode" to their future release.
