New Project! Time Tracking Cube #AdafruitIO #IoT #3DPrinting #arduino
Build a time tracking cube! Flip the cube to switch between tasks so you can automate your time sheets. An accelerometer tracks orientation and neopixels light up each task.
Use Adafruit IO to log data into a feed and store timestamps of each task. Setup triggers in Zapier and create an action to update a google spreadsheet. Get the Adafruit Feather HUZZAH and start building your IoT projects.
The Feather format is easy to use gives you tons of add-ons. The Prop-Maker Wing adds NeoPixel support and sound effects. The arduino code shows how to use Adafruit IO and setup your IoT projects. Use the Adafruit libraries and example code to get you started.
The cube uses snap fit panels so it’s easy to assemble and you can swap out different parts. We used dual extrusion 3d printing to create a frame in two colors so LEDs illuminate the frame. The design is open to remix so the parts can be modified.
Use matching headers to install the Prop-Maker Wing. The panels are press fitted into the frame and have different icons for each task.

Check out the learn guide for code, files and documentation on building this project. I think this could also be made into a game or custom interface for assistive tech.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
