Data Breach Impacts Huddle House Restaurant Chain (02/05/2019)
Payment cards used at the Huddle House restaurant chain have been breached but a third-party organization is to blame for the incident. According to a statement issued by the Atlanta-based chain, a third-party point-of-sale (PoS) vendor's data system was compromised by attackers who then implemented malware on Huddle House corporate and franchisee PoS systems. Anyone who used payment cards at a Huddle House location between August 1, 2017 and February 1, 2019 could be affected.

Massive Cache of Data Came from Earlier Breaches (02/05/2019)
A massive trove of breached data that was first disclosed by security researcher Troy Hunt on January 17 has been analyzed by Recorded Future and found to contain information gleaned from prior data intrusions. The cache of 773 million unique email addresses and 21 million unique passwords has been referred to as "Collection #1" by Hunt, but the data appears to have been gleaned from other data breaches that took place several years ago. Recorded Future identified an individual known as "C0rpz" as the creator and seller of the Collection #1 dump.
