Samsung Exynos 9630 SoC said to be in the works, could power Galaxy A (2020) series
Right now, the South Korean giant Samsung is working on various projects ahead of its most awaited smartphone — Galaxy Note 10. One of them is the new chipset for its mid-range smartphone lineup. According to a new report, the company is working on Exynos 9630, a successor to the Exynos 9610 10nm SoC that was introduced last year. If the report turns out to be accurate, this upcoming chipset will be powering the Galaxy A series (2020) smartphones. At present, the information regarding the performance upgrades is a bit foggy, but there are chances that it could be manufactured on a smaller process, resulting in higher efficiency. Since the Exynos 9610 has been manufactured on the 10nm process, there are bright chances that Exynos 9630 might take advantage of the 8nm node. It could also pack an improved GPU compared to the ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU on the Exynos 9610 and a better ISP. We can expect more details in the coming weeks. Source
