Rumors of Xiaomi launching a new gaming laptop have been circling the Internet for the past few days now. We have also seen specification leaks for the new Mi Gaming Laptop, along with an official launch date of August 4. However, Xiaomi (or should I say Intel) is showcasing this laptop at its China Joy booth and has let the cat out of the bag.

All of the major specifications of this new Mi Gaming Laptop (2019) have been revealed. The leaks were true and this is just another refresh of Xiaomi’s existing gaming machine. Nothing on the design front changes this time around as well – just like last year and we still have the same dual-hinge, anti-glare display, RGB-lit keyboard, and more.

You get a beautiful 15.6-inch Full-HD display with thin bezels all-around, except for the thicker bezel at the bottom with the Mi branding. It has a high 144Hz refresh rate, 72% NTSC color gamut and a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees.

As for the internal specifications, Mi Gaming Laptop (2019) is powered by up to the 9th-gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor. This is an upgrade over last year’s processor and it’s coupled with up to 16GB RAM, 512GB of PCIe SSD storage, and 1TB mechanical hard drive). However, the biggest refresh comes in the form of the new and powerful GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card.

Yes, you now get the ray-tracing supported Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU packed inside the Mi Gaming Laptop. The GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card is only available in the high-end model whereas the lower-end Mi Gaming Laptop will be powered by the GTX 1660Ti graphics card.

That’s everything you need to know about the refreshed Mi Gaming Laptop (2019). If you want a closer look at this gaming machine, you could check out a quick Chinese hands-on video right here. The pricing and availability details for this refresh should be announced over the weekend, so stay tuned for more information.
