OnePlus is gearing up to launch its next smartphone lineup and the OnePlus TV, at last, later this month. The Chinese giant has today posted an official teaser on Twitter which confirms that OnePlus will unveil its new smartphone and first-ever smart TV lineup on 26th September. The launch event will be held in New Delhi.

As revealed by the teaser video attached below, India launch for the much-anticipated OnePlus TV and OnePlus 7T lineup has been scheduled for September 26. Yeah, all the leaks were indeed true but the teaser only highlights the new T-series and not the new smart TVs from OnePlus.

Like every year, OnePlus is also inviting its fans to attend the launch event. A dedicated landing page for the launch reveals that ticket sales for the same will commence on 20th September at 10:00 AM IST. You’ll have the chance to go hands-on with the OnePlus 7T lineup and OnePlus TV, which will be launched at the event.

OnePlus has officially revealed a lot about its first smart TV, like that it will feature a 55-inch QLED panel with 4K resolution and Dolby Vision support. The company has revealed that a custom image processor called “Gamma Color Magic processor” will allow them to offer enhanced picture quality.

OnePlus TV will also come equipped with 8 speakers, offering the users 50 watts output with punchy bass. A kevlar-coated back, minimal bezels and the remote (looks slick and has a volume rocker on the side) has also been shown off in official pictures. And it looks fantastic.

OnePlus has also disclosed that its first smart TV will be backed by Android TV with some mindful upgrades. You will get three years of guaranteed software updates, which means you will even get Android S update on your OnePlus TV down the road.

Alongside the OnePlus TV, we will see the Chinese phone maker announce new iterative upgrades for its OnePlus 7 lineup. This means the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will see the light on September 26, possibly with 90Hz displays, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, and triple cameras in tow.

If the leaks are to be trusted, well, both the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will retain their form factor. This means we will still see a waterdrop notch on the more affordable OnePlus 7T, and the pop-up camera/ curved display on the 7T Pro. However, the former will now be outfitted with a 90Hz refresh rate display (confirmed by CEO Pete Lau) to bring it in line with its elder sibling.

OnePlus 7T won’t see any major change on the camera front, but the 7T will upgrade to a circular camera bump with three cameras. It is expected to include a 48MP+16MP+12MP camera setup, with a 16MP selfie camera, as per the leaks.

Both the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The former will house a 3,800mAh battery but the latter could come equipped with a 4,000mAh battery as its predecessor. So, if you are planning to get a OnePlus 7, we suggest you wait for a couple more weeks as the OnePlus 7T sounds quite exciting.
