Internet-enabled Halloween Candy Dispenser with @AdafruitIO and @Particle #AdafruitIO @MakerIO
Maker.io published a guide (and a video) for building an internet-enabled candy dispenser. The dispenser uses a Particle Photon and servos to speed up the build, the real complexity of the project “comes from the mechanical construction of the dispenser and the software that lies on the Photon”.
An Adafruit IO feed is monitored by the Particle Photon. When the state of the feed changes, a servo is turned a predefined amount of time to dispense a piece of candy – talk about a sweet project!
