Job Description:

We are looking for a software engineer to join our positioning team in Berkeley, CA.

This role will include evaluating sensors and filter models for estimating position and orientation from multiple sensors, such as GPS, IMU, wheel odometer and radars.

Our application is characterized by unusually high accuracy requirements and an emphasis on relative accuracy over absolute accuracy.

Responsibilites Include:

  • Implementing and tuning extensions to the current Kalman filter model
  • Evaluating potential new sensors
  • Writing tools for algorithm testing, data validation and visualization
  • Presenting test results in team meetings
  • Applying Post Process Kinematic (PPK) processing to GNSS/IMU reference data

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Engineering/Science, EE, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Kalman filters to fuse GPS and IMU measurements
  • Experience in fusing GPS and IMU data with one or more additional sensors (CAN bus, camera, sonar)
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Ability to write high-quality, production level C++ code (we use C++14)
  • Experience with RADAR
  • Experience with differential GNSS (PPK, RTK)
