Marsha P. Johnson – African American History Month 2020 #BlackHistoryMonth
Marsha P. Johnson was an LGBTQ+ activist and icon. On February 1, 2020, it was announced East River State Park will be renamed after Marsha P. Johnson (1, 2)! NYC also has plans to complete a monument featuring Marsha P. Johnson by the end of 2021.
