Restore CRK To School Curriculum-Christians Demand

OUR DEMANDS AS NIGERIA CHRISTIANS:
• RESTORE CRK AS A SINGLE STAND ALONE INDIVIDUAL SUBJECT. DON’T SUBSUME IT ANY LONGER IN AN OMNIBUS SUBJECT CALLED RELIGION AND NATIONAL VALUES.
• REDESIGN THE CURRICULUM SO THAT IT WILL REFLECT TRUE CHRISTIAN VALUES
FOR OUR CHILDREN, NOT A HUMANISTIC SOCIAL/MORAL INSTRUCTION BUT WHAT TEACHES THEM TO LOVE, RESPECT AND REVER THE GOD OF THEIR FATHERS, JEHOVAH ELOHIM, THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE WHO SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON JESUS CHRIST TO DIE FOR OUR SINS, WHOSE RESURRECTION AND ASCENSION TO HEAVEN GIVE US THE ONLY PASSPORT TO HEAVEN AND ETERNITY.

GENUINE RESPECT FOR OUR CONSTITUTION WHICH STATES Section 38 (1) of the 1999 constitution and Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Right, provide:“Every person shall be entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom (either alone or in community with others, and in public or in private) to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance.”

IMPLICATIONS
1. THERE SHALL BE NO DISCRIMINATION WHATSOEVER ON THE BASIS OF RELIGION
2. CRK TEACHERS SHOULD BE EMPLOYED IN ALL STATES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS OF NIGERIA IN AS LONG AS SUCH GOVTS SHARE THE SAME REVENUE FROM THE CENTRAL SOURCE
3. ANY STATE THAT REFUSES WILL ALSO BE BARRED FROM SHARING IN THE NATIONAL REVENUES ALLOCATION
4. CHURCHES AND RELIGIONS PLACES OF WORSHIP SHOULD BE GIVEN LICENSE TO OPERATE IN ALL PARTS OF THE COUNTRY WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION
5. EVERY OBNOXIOUS LAW THAT LIMITS RELIGIOUS FREEDOM SHOULD BE SCRAPPED ESPECIALLY THE ONE BY GOV EL RUFAI OF KADUNA STATE THAT INFRINGES ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.
6. IN SUBSEQUENT REVIEW OF THE CURRICULUM, KEY STAKEHOLDERS LIKE NCGF, CAN, PARENTS, PRIVATE SCHOOL PROPRIETORS SHOULD BE WELL REPRESENTED AND NOT HANDPICKED.
7. CONTINOUS EDUCATION AND ORIENTATION OF END USERS SHOULD BE DEPLOYED IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY CURRICULUM CHANGE
8. Restoration of key subjects like History, Geography, Economics
9. Our curriculum should prepare us for intellectual, technological, economic, moral/ethical competitiveness, and not backwardness like in the case of Kwara state
10. Offensive items in the new curriculum that disparages Christianity should be expunged immediately and never reintroduced or smuggled back under any disguise. There should be mutual respect for others.
11. Morally degrading items should be removed from our textbooks and curriculum. There is a particular book on social studies for secondary school under religion and national values authored by S. O OMOTUYOLE for JSS 1 that teaches that kissing, hugging, touching and can you believe it that mutual Masturbation is a way to control sexual intercourse among Youths. Ridiculous.
12. Government should not interfere or promote one religion to the exclusion of others by sponsoring only a particular group or allocating state resources.
13. NERDC should make available list of recommended books in line with their curriculum.
14. NERDC should not remain a toothless bulldog but should be given powers to sanction erring booksellers, states ministry of education and schools that violate the dictates of their curriculum.
15. A COMPLETE ARREST AND PROSECUTION OF ALL AGENTS OF HATRED AND MURDER OF CHRISTIANS IN NIGERIA : MRS EUNICE OLAWALE OF REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF NIGERIA IN KUBWA ABUJA, THE KANO KILLING OF A CHRISTIAN WOMAN 74 YEAR OLD BRIDGET AGBAIME FROM IMO STATE.

Let me add that in listing all these demands, I sent a mail to virtually all Christians in Nigeria and Diaspora on the social media to send in their opinions and positions on these issues. The response has been overwhelming and it cuts across race, age, position, social status and political affiliation and tribe.
As I am taking today, they have assured me of their prayers and support. This indeed is the voice of Nigeria Christians.
Let our leaders and policy makers listen attentively. God bless you all and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Amen.

NIGERIA APPEARS TO HAVE COME UNHINGED:

As usual, Nigerians are doing what they do best: making themselves the laughing stock of the rest of the world, behaving like spoilt brats of a rich but irresponsible father, or like players in a game with no rules and no referee, a game in a field of moral free fall. Perhaps by way of a metaphor, that is really a summary of our condition. Those who have held the nation to ransom, non-state actors constituting themselves into a calumnious conspiratorial tag team of sorcerers’ apprentices believe that what they cannot have, no one can have. They are prepared to drag the nation down with them even if they do not know where they are going. We are forced to ask ourselves the timeless question, how did we get here and indeed, where are we?

The froth has come to the top: Nigeria’s broth of deceit and opportunism masquerading as politics has triggered a diarrhea with dire consequences for the public space. Except we concede that we are a cursed nation, it is difficult to fathom how we could have ended up where we are now, a nation in a permanent stupor and always unable to celebrate its victories not to talk of avoiding its sorrows. How did we leave so many doors open that a small coterie of nondescript individuals with neither known addresses nor antecedents suddenly took centre stage?

A first time visitor to our country in the last few weeks would think they have crashed into a party organised by drunken criminals who, in their bouts of raucous inebriation have resorted to a serious brawl with self injuries while overturning tables and food, destroying both glasses and plates. Given the huge opportunities and resources, is this where we should be? My people, what has God not done for us?

Suddenly, the nation seems to have come unhinged. Across the country, sounds of very irresponsible and provocative utterances fill the air. The media lapped it all up and by giving these adult urchins publicity, created the impression that the end of our nation had arrived. And yet, the late Chinua Achebe warned his Igbo people in general and Nigeria in particular of the consequences of the men with ideas leaving the stage to the money-miss-road ragamuffins, men and women with no records of service or achievement, men and women who elsewhere should be in jail taking up the stage and doing what they know best, creating a maelstrom, ratcheting up the volume of vitriol and creating a discordant orchestra of artistic chaos. My people, what has God not done for us?

But while all this was going on, look at the other side, the abode of reason, rationality and integrity. Look at what has happened to us in England. In one fell swoop, seven of our sons and daughters were elected into the British Parliament, an unprecedented feat in the history of Democracy anywhere in the world. The following week, England won the Under 21 World Cup with the assistance of three young men of Nigerian descent. In the same England, just a few months back, our son created history by winning the World Heavy Weight Boxing title. Talk about the colony striking back! My people, what has God not done for us?

Within the same kingdom, across the sea to Ireland, one of our favourite sons was also making history. After about a hundred years, the Vatican announced the appointment of the first African as the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Jude Okolo to Ireland, the land of our missionary ancestors. After a hundred years, Rome announced the appointment of a Nigerian-born Most Rev. Dr. Eusebius Chinekezi Manugwu, as pioneer Bishop of Port-Gentil, in Gabon. After almost a hundred years one of our daughters is now Editor of the Harvard Law Review. Almost on a monthly basis, Nigeria has continued to receive news of the spectacular achievements of our children who are breaking academic records in America and Europe, feats that few people from any developing country have achieved. They are daily breaking the glass ceilings and scaling walls that racism and colonialism had erected for the black man. In almost every corner of the world, wherever black achievement is mentioned, if there are two names, both or one must be a Nigerian. My people, what has God not done for us?

We parade the best writers with the greatest world recognition for any one country in the developing world. Our sons and daughters have won some of the most prestigious international awards there are in various fields of Art, Science, Sports and almost everything. Our Medical personnel, Lawyers, Engineers, Professors, Scientists are in the most prestigious laboratories all over the world. It will be difficult to find any good University or institution of research and learning anywhere in the world that does not have Nigerians as their brightest and best teachers or students. So, what is going on? Are we under a tragic spell? My people, what has God not done for us?

When I look at our country, I feel a sense of both shame and pity not for myself but for our teeming millions who simply want to be left to do what ordinary human beings have come to take for granted elsewhere: get married, raise a family, live in peace and prepare the next generation. Is this too much the ordinary citizens of Nigeria to ask? We have become the butt of jokes around the continent and the world. Those who brought education to us are in awe of our intellectual capacity and they hide their jealousy by accusing us of being loud and arrogant. Our cousins on the continent, most of whom we have sent technical assistance to and tried to share our wealth with, look on us as a threat. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, as in the world of international diplomacy on the global stage, they never fail to collude with others to subvert our global ambitions and leadership claims. Where did we go wrong? My people, what has God not done for us?

Today, we stand on the crossroads of shame and seeming despair. An energetic and brilliant generation of young Nigeria, roaring to take their place in the public stage are held back by a political class which prefers to feed its gargantuan appetite. Governance has become a massive fraud and a heinous crime scene. The easy question is to ask, how do we get out of this self-inflicted mess where we continue to feed our children yesterday’s barf?

This is the world to which the young priests being ordained today are going into. This is the world that the next generation of our young people growing up are coming into. How should today’s priest be prepared to respond to the social questions of the time?

While all this is going on at a national political scene, we in the Catholic Church also have our own sad drama that has been playing out in Ahiara for the last five years. In Ahiara, the devil has had his day. Now it is the turn of God to have His way. This is not the time for judgment of condemnation. It is a time for those who have ears to adjust them so that they can listen to the voice of from the gentle breeze as Elijah did (1 Kgs 19:12). I am glad that a prayer for Ahiara is circulating among Catholics. Please recite the prayer. The devil cannot be more powerful than the prayers of faithful Catholics around the country and the world. We commit Ahiara Diocese and its entire people to our Blessed Mother. May she, the patron of Priests intercede for our brothers and sisters.

It is clear that we as a Church are not free from the cobwebs of confusion that adorn our society. Whether we call the events under question ethnicity or faithlessness or greed, the fact is that our society is in deep trouble. And here is the challenge of the Catholic priesthood. This is where I want to challenge all of us who are Priests especially to sit up and confront the rut in our society by really and truly being signs of contradiction, signs of hope amidst this despair. We can only do this if we free ourselves from the temptations of material power. I want to focus my thoughts on the Priests because even if our people are broken and injured as individuals or families, we are called to be their healers. But to play our roles, we must disengage from the blind material pursuit that has rendered our mission ineffective. For, as Chaucer said: If gold rusts, what will iron do?

It is worthy of note that today’s ordination is taking place on the 40th anniversary of the foundation of this Seminary, the National Missionary Seminary of St. Paul and her supporting agency, the Missionary Society of St. Paul (MSP), by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria under the leadership of Dominic Cardinal Ekandem of blessed memory. By Divine Providence, this month marks also the centenary of his birth.  Thus, about a week from today, June 23rd, the Archdiocese of Abuja which was also his brainchild, invites all of us to the party marking the one hundred years of his birth!

In a society that is being pulled apart by atavistic cleavages and divisions, we priests must become instruments of peace and unity, just like Cardinal Dominic Ekandem strove to be in his own days. Yes! He was an instrument of peace and harmony. He was a bridge-builder where polarizing forces and selfish interests were hard at work. Being the visionary leader that he was, he founded this Seminary as an instrument of unity and service to humanity. So, you new priests of today, like this great Father of our Faith and your Founder, Dominic Cardinal Ekandem, must do all within your power to rise above the atavistic forces that are attempting to pull this country apart. Like the great patriot that he was, the Cardinal worked for the unity and progress of this blessed land. You too must, and in fact all who call this land our home, must speak and work for peace and justice in our Church and Society. We must become champions of united positive actions.  This constitutes a great part of our vocation as Christians but even more for us who have been called to the priestly ministry.

Today, as we ordain these five young men priests, we must reflect on the meaning and ministry of priests.  Here we return to the words of the French Priest Fr Henri Lacordaire whose timeless words transcend any other definition of the Catholic priesthood. He said to be a priest is to:

To live in the midst of the world without wishing its pleasures;

To be a member of each family, yet belonging to none;

To share all suffering; to penetrate all secrets; To heal all wounds;

to go from men to God and offer Him their prayers; To return from God to men to bring pardon and hope;

These are difficult times, they are times that try our patience. But they are times of hope and courage. The priesthood will continue to be challenged because there are many versions of the priest as there are parishioners. Thankfully, we are called to serve and not to seek popular approval or applause. Again, the timeless words of one of our priests remain when said:

The priest exists for the community and only for the community. But not everyone in the community thinks the same.

Some bless him, others pity him, and so many others ignore him.

If the priest is young, they say he is inexperienced.

If he is old, they say he is outmoded, ill fashioned and conservative.

He should retire!

If he dresses well, he is a middle-class snob. If he dresses poorly, he is an agitator.

If he is happy and enjoys life and believes in love, he is wordily and not a churchman.

If he lives an ascetic life, the say: he is a “monk” and not a committed priest of the 21st century.

If he is jovial and makes people laugh, he is a joker and a clown. If he doesn’t laugh with people, he is distant, proud and full of himself.

If he visits his parishioners, he is never at home…he is a walkabout. If he does not, he is proud and lacks pastoral prudence.

The poor are angry if he associates with the rich and they call him a capitalist. The rich are insulted if he devotes himself to the poor and they call him an economist.

If he is generous and helps the poor, he is a populist. If he is moderate and judicious in spending, he is called a stingy man.

If he decorates the church, he is spending too much. If he does not, he is allowing things to deteriorate.

If he asks for funds, he likes money a lot. If the parish fund is low, he is a “bad business man.”

if he talks of moral decadence, he is putting up a holier than-thou attitude. If he doesn’t, he is morally lax and condones evil.

If he is out-spoken and criticizes the social order, he is a radical prophet, if he is gentle and prudent in criticism, he is a cunning diplomat.

If he is agile; he is hyperactive. If he is sick and weak; he does not care about his health.

If he dies, Oh! There will never be a Priest like him again!

We are not called to solve all the problems of our time. However, today’s priest must wake up to the reality of the return to the twin forces of neo-paganism, sorcery, witchcraft, shamanism among our faithful for whom Christianity is merely superficial. This skin-deep faith cannot survive the challenges of hostile forces of secularism that threaten to engulf our public life. The solution is not the superfluous expressions of dubious religiousity which have turned the churchman into a rival shaman extracting favours from a reluctant god who responds to incantations and is seduced by false sacrifices. Do you recall Paul’s shock at Ephesus when he asked the brethren there is they had received the Holy Spirit? Their answer was: We have never heard of anything like the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:2). It would seem clear that we Christians must address the issues of whether we have indeed heard and accepted such a thing as the Holy Spirit. Because if we have, then its fruits of love, charity, prudence should be the glue to hold our society together.

Finally, our people must embrace community life and be ready to hold on to the shared values that held us together. It was not wealth that held us together. It was largely the sense of solidarity that we had, a gift that was always considered part and parcel of our DNA as Africans. I leave you with the words of one of the greatest writers, our own Chinua Achebe who said: A man who calls his kinsmen to a feast does not do so to redeem them from starving. They all have food in their own houses. When we gather together in the village ground at moonlight, it is not because of the moon. Every man can see it in his compound. We come together because it is better for kinsmen to do so. Therefore let us continue with the team spirit and enjoy the power of togetherness. Let us smile not because we do not have problems but let us smile because we are stronger than our problems.

REPORT BY THE CHRISTIAN THINK-TANK COMMITTEE ON THE NEWLY INTRODUCED CURRICULUM FOR BASIC EDUCATION

PREAMBLE
The Primary and Junior Secondary Schools being the bedrock and foundation, upon which the whole Education system is built has undoubtedly come under a cruel, malignant and satanic siege in Nigeria
..
Following the decision of the Federal Government to introduce the Universal 9-year Basic Education programme, the Nigerian Educational Research Development Council (NERDC) restructured and realigned all extant Primary and Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) curricula into a 9-year Basic Education curriculum which commenced in 2008. This curriculum was recently revised by the Federal Ministry of Education through the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC). Part of the revised curriculum is the omnibus subject called Religion and the National Values. Religion and National Values is said to be the merging of formerly independent subjects such as Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Civic Education, Social Studies and the newly introduced National Security Education into one compulsory subject.

This decision portends danger as well as infringement on the right of the children and their parents. Hence, there is a need to educate all and sundry (especially Christians) on the implications of the newly introduced curriculum by the Nigerian Educational Research Development Council (NERDC). Therefore, the Christian Think-Tank for the Body of Christ (Edo- Delta) has decided to take a firm stand on the issue; hence this publication.

OBSERVATIONS ON THE NEW CURRICULUM.
Some of the offensive or controversial parts of the curriculum include:
The subtle silence in the entire curriculum on the fact that JESUS is the SON of GOD, The MESSIAH and REDEEMER of Mankind.
The supremacy of  Prophet Mohammed over all other prophets or religious icons.
The "glorious Koran" being the final authority of Allah.
Children being encouraged to disobey their parents if they refuse them to follow Allah. It should be noted that Christians will resist any contrary teaching to their beliefs and indoctrination of their children especially when the omnibus curriculum on Religion and National Values is expected to inculcate in and encourage children to disobey their parents (e.g. in one of the textbooks it is stated "Do not listen to your parents, if they prevent you from accepting Islam"). Obviously such a statement is very offensive to the tenets of the Christian faith.
Prophet Issa (that Christians know as Jesus Christ) did not die, nor was He crucified and neither did He resurrect. These statements are deliberate attacks on the very foundation of the Christian faith.
All the children including those of the other faith apart from Islam, are to compulsorily learn, recite and memorize the Koran or Arabic language. It is a cruel infringement on the human rights of Christian children as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution that they should be forced to memorize and recite the Quran/ Arabic language under any guise.
The 9 - year curriculum is written for tender hearts (minors) where indelible impressions are formed to shape them for life. Making this omnibus subject compulsory for the minors or tender-minds negate the declaration on Human and People's Right, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and even the Child Right Act of 2003. More importantly, it takes away the Biblical injunction to Christian parents in Prov. 22:6 which says "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

We are of the opinion that curriculum review ought to eliminate subject matter overlaps, redundancies and enrich curriculum quality through the infusion of emerging issues. However, this duty as exercised in this respect is faulty. A holistic view of the rights - both as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Child Rights Act point to the fact that the parents or legal guardians should be taken into consideration in any matter that affects the interest of the child. Unfortunately, the current educational curriculum didn't take all these into consideration. In fact parents as Stakeholders were not consulted before the formulation and implementation. The right of the child not to be exposed to a contrary religion outside those of his parents/guardian is not taken into consideration by this curriculum. According to Section 38(2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended, no person attending any place of education shall be required to receive religious instruction or take part in any religious observance that is contrary to his religion or religion of his/her parent or guardian. Also, subsection (1) of the same Section 38 makes it explicit that freedom of worship is sacrosanct.

RECOMMENDATIONS/THE WAY FORWARD
Christians should present a formidable, united front and say NO to the new 9 year Basic Education Curriculum on Religion and National Values wherein five subjects have been fused into one.
We wish to present unequivocally the following as "the way forward" on this matter so as to accommodate the interests of all those involved.
Christian Religious Studies and Islamic Religious Studies should be allowed to stand separately and should be studied as independent subjects with separate textbooks just like the Nigerian languages (Hausa, Ibo and Yoruba) in line with the previous curriculum
Re-introduction of History, Geography, Economics and Accounting back into the Junior Secondary School Curriculum.
Curriculum developers should ensure that the contents do not contradict our constitutional provisions. They should be conscious of the religious and cultural sensibility of Nigerians.
Attempts to make the omnibus subject (Religion and National Values) compulsory for Basic Education Certificate Examination should be discountenanced.
The disadvantage of this omnibus subject (integration) outweighs whatever advantage it may be said to have. When five subjects are merged into one, it is obvious that detailed work cannot be achieved both in writing of the textbook and in the instruction/teaching. The child would be made to struggle to learn and comprehend five - in - one subject which will not be easy for him/her. The result most likely would be the sacrifice of excellence on the altar of social integration which will amount to being "penny wise and pound foolish".
Government should devise means of confronting directly the enemies of our corporate existence as a Nation who propagate violence and religious intolerance rather than making any religious subject compulsory as Nigeria has no National Religion.
Christian parents as major stakeholders in the education of their children and wards were not consulted before the formulation and implementation of this curriculum. Therefore there should be a public hearing on such a sensitive matter as this so as to feel the pulse and galvanize the opinions of parents and children.
Relevant authorities who were mandated to "midwife" this new curriculum should urgently revert to "status quo ante".
9.   List of recommended textbooks should be included in the curriculum.
Publishers of recommended books should be keenly and closely monitored and supervised to ensure that the Books published on Christian Religious Knowledge represent a true and rich reflection of Christian beliefs, tenets and principles.

MESSAGE TO MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

In one of the Assemblies of God churches, in Aba District, where my late dad pastored in the 1980s, I remember when  a young man came very early in the morning and told my father:

"Pastor, what did I do to you? Why do you hate me so much? I have been born again for almost 1 year and I have won many people to Christ, but why have you not recommended me to join others to go for missions work in the northern States of the country... "

His singlet was torn... And with his zeal, he was crying profusely...

My father did not know what to say...
The young man kept crying:" Pastor, why are you doing this to me... Why are you doing this to me? "

My father told him: "Nna, I know very well that you want to serve God... But you are the only son of your mother and your father is late... If anything happens to you, who will look after your mother and younger ones?...

The boy started crying the more...
"Pastor, I am the only son and yet I was an arm robber... I am the only son, yet, I was attending meetings in the midnight with native doctors, where many of friends could not wake up alive after diabolically fortifying ourselves against police bullets... "

" Pastor, what would have happened to my mother if I had died in one of those armed robbery attacks? Who would have taken care of her? If I risked my life when I was serving Satan, why will I not risk it now that I am serving Jesus Christ? "

My father was speechless for almost 30minutes... And it was not long, we saw tears rolling down his eyes...
He held the young man and both of them were crying together...
How can I forget such scenes that God allowed to play out before my eyes? ...

My father recommended him to join some missionaries that came in the area for missions work...
The day he was leaving with them, the mother and his younger ones were crying... Knowing that they might not see him again, both live or dead... But I can still remember that excitement on his face...

Lord, how can I forget?

Brother, let us go to our Bible schools and listen to the conversation of those young men and women who have joined ministry and you will know that many of them have no single passion for the lost...

They are just getting ready to rent halls in the city where they will be rolling out posters and handbills, laying greedy hands on people, collecting offering and tithe...
That's all in their hearts...

Congratulations for your big auditorium...
I am happy for your 10th time services...
But if heaven cannot find such men in your church,...

Young men and women who will say: "Lets go to that village and tell them that Jesus is no more in the grave... Even If we don't have to come back alive... Let it be so..."

If you don't have such calibre of members among your congregation, then, sir, with due respect, it's a big shame! .. This end time agenda has no need of you and your kind!

A Muslim suicide bomber doesn't need tithe and offering to carry out a bloody assignment, in defence of his faith  ...

But here, we have young men who are in the pulpit, being driven by tithe, offering and honorarium.... If there is no 5star hotel reservation, they will not honour the invitation to preach ...

And yet, they are General Overseers...
Overseeing passionless men and women who are like them...

Where as, their mates in Islam has burnt their school certificates, refused juicy contracts, abandoned wonderful jobs and everyday they are sleeping in the bush and starving for months, receiving trainings, how to carry out terrorist attacks, all in defence of belief...

And we are here looking for churches where they will use convoy to come and pick us up from the airport...
And you wonder why people feel like vomiting when they hear them calling you a voice in the land...

A voice because you went to a program and stole committed members from your host church and you came back and gave them positions in the choir, sowing different uniforms for them every Sunday...

None of them can quote any scripture...
They have not gone for evangelism for any day, after many years of following you...
All of them were members you stole and now you are using juju to keep them from running away...
And they are calling you a voice in the land! ... What a ridicule! What a noise!

Brother, if this is the generation that will usher in a move of God in our days, then, those who have not forgotten what they saw in the church in the 80s and 90s must not keep quiet in a time like this...

The greatest hindrance of revival in our time is not Islam...
The pulpit in our time is the greatest enemy of the expected move of God  in our days...

If not for the decline of truth on the pulpits in our time, long ago, we would have seen what we saw in the days of our fathers...
And now we are blaming Muslim fanatics, who are defending with their lives what they believe in...

When else are we going to see young men from our churches, after hearing our messages, getting so angry in the spirit that they make up their minds to convert 10 unbelievers to Christianity every month month?
And the next place you will see them will be in camps or mountains, preparing, praying for Power?

But how can we hear such when the only thing we teach them is about how to be rich and how to suspect detect enemies?

I am tired of hearing testimonies of miracle jobs some of our ladies slept with company directors to get...
I am tired of seeing car dedications my brothers used fraudulent businesses to buy...
When are we going to start dedicating converted souls on our Sunday mornings?
Lord, where are all the men that saw what we saw in the days of our fathers?
This is not the time to keep quiet...
This is not the time to care about who likes or hates you...
If there is a time to beg for pulpit, soldier, it is not in a time like this!

No pulpit hosted John the Baptist...
They preached against him... That He was old fashioned... And that he was envying them who were running 10 times services...

That because he doesn't get any like or comment on his Facebook wall, that he is jealous of them that have huge online followership...
That because he is not anointed and that is why nobody was hosting him in their churches...

But brother, when his time came and he began to roar from the wilderness, those demonic General Overseers who were using marine powers to run ministry knew that indeed, in every generation, God has a breed He is preparing ...

Yes, they knew that "there was a man sent from God"...

Man of God, if you were sent from God, why are you allowing yourself to be influenced by men who were 'sent from Bible schools' ?

Some of the men you are competing with in ministry were 'sent from demonic covens in some parts of Africa' ... If we came from God, let us look more for God... He will soon show up...

You are almost getting to the time when members of many 'mega'  churches will be secretly and openly coming to you, to hear this gospel from your mouth... Because they would have gotten tired of fake testimonies that leaves them powerless and very vulnerable...

Men who have not bowed to baal are very few in our days...
Men who have not sold out their souls for mammon are rare to find now that we are here...
God depends on you for this end time work... Why are you bothered because someone somewhere is calling you names online? ...

Churches are everywhere around us, yet, there is a spiritual famine in Africa...
The power of the gospel is suffering bankruptcy in our time...
This is not the same gospel the apostles preached...
Something has happened to the Word of God in our mouths...

We are only showing the form of godliness, but hell has hijacked the power thereof...
And in our carnality, we are celebrating strange Fires...
Polluted Fire!
Moribund Fire!

But brother, I know that God will never leave Africa this way!
If the pulpit has failed, then,, He will bypass us and go down to the pews...
And raise people for Himself...

If our pews have become so frozen, He will go outside... He will look for drunkards and prostitutes....
He will get hold of witches and wizards...
And those arm robbers on the highways,
He will Clean them up and fill them up with Himself and use them mightily in this end time...

Yes, if those who came out from Bible schools are now using their certificates to raise only funds, God will bypass them and use those who has not gone to Bible schools...

This is the most critical time since the world began...
Islam is preparing to take over nations,...
They are putting funds together which  they will use to buy churches and pay their staff off...

Brother, in few years from now, if there is no genuine revival, many of our members today would have become Muslims...
You will see many pastors who will convert their churches into mosques, for a huge financial reward...

That time is not far...
Has it not even started?
When a pastor is collecting powers to grow his church from a Muslim native doctor, is that not handing over the Fire to the children of the bond woman?

The days we are in is terrible...
God knows and that is why He is raising an army that will stand to defend the gospel that was handed over to us, even if they have to lose everything for it...

That young man came back from the missions field, after a year, and later joined the Bible school... Became a pastor and God used him to win communities for Jesus...

Before my eyes, I saw God using him to sack evil spirits out from villages...
His name became a terror in that area, to the point that deities began to complain about how his presence in the community had rendered them powerless... Halaluya !

Those are the kind of testimonies we were hearing everyday in the days of our fathers that we want to be hearing again in our time...
But alas, here is Ichabod !

Imagine if every church in every community can boast of 10 of such members!
Imagine when many of our followers would have gotten broken enough, by God, that they don't mind what they lose again for God's sake...

Terrorists will no more be bombing our churches.. Because they would have known that already our churches are filled with people who are ready to die, anytime for the gospel ...

You don't have to waste your bomb on a man who is already dead!

But, why they will keep threatening to kill us is because they know that we love our cars and landed properties more than the CHRIST we say that died for us...

Prophet Mohammed was not killed on the Cross shamefully, yet, they can die for him publicly... What would have happened if their prophet Mohammed was crucified on the cross?

But where are the men and women who claims that Jesus died for them?

Oh Sister, it is time to take our Christian life to another level....
It is time to get 'fanatical'  about this Kingdom thing...

Why are we ashamed to tell people about the Man that conquered the grave?
Why can't we preach about the man that created the heaven and the earth?...

Mohammed did not do any single miracle, but his followers are dying for him...
He did not raise anybody from the dead...
He died and that was his end...
Yet, they can give everything to spread his belief...

How can we be ashamed of Jesus that spoke to the storm and their was peace?
He opened the blind eyes...
He interrupted funerals and raised the dead back to life...

Is He not enough to tell people about?
Did He not do enough to make you let everybody that knows you know that you are not ashamed of the gospel?

When will you be done with hiding from your friends when you want to speak in tongues, so that they will not laugh at you?
Brother, why are you ashamed of identifying with the Man who is the hope of the whole world?
As for me, I am done with religion, till I die..
I cannot stand Christianity by church sticker alone any more ...
Jesus did not die for you to only be attending choir rehearsals and changing uniforms every Sunday....

I hope God is not looking at you from heaven now and regretting why He did not let those people  that died of accident to replace you since you are useless to Him on earth...

Many in the hospital now, with few days to live are begging and crying, if God can give them a little more time, that they will preach this gospel under the rain and sun... And they mean it...

Brother, you that is healthy, what will God be saying about you when He sees that they are begging you to go to church?
The time is early enough to ask God for mercy and for Him to revive His walk in your life. ..

God is looking for people that will risk their lives for Him in our time...
Let it not be that He is preparing someone who is at the point of death in the hospital bed to come and replace you....
This is scary... But it is a serious matter!

Have you not played so much with the opportunities God has given you?
How much longer do we have to be in sin for grace to abound?

The Holy Spirit is speaking to you now...
He is reminding you of your distance from God...
Imagine if you had died in your sins yesterday morning...

You would have gone to hell,  and stay there, from now till the next 2billion years... And yet, that will be just the beginning...

Sister, don't be locked out of grace further... Don't postpone any longer the hour of your salvation...

Right now, hearken to the voice of mercy ...
And where you are sitting is good enough to kneel down and ask God for a revival ... I  am very sure that He will clean you up and give you a new....

HOW THE APOSTLES DIED

1. Matthew

Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.

2. Mark

Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses through the streets until he was dead.

3. Luke

Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.

4. John

Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. Peter

He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross.
According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. James

The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his
enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. James the Son of Zebedee, 

was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was   beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. Bartholomew

Also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

9. Andrew

Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words: 'I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.' He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

10. Thomas

Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Sub-continent.

11. Jude

Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.

12. Matthias
The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot, was stoned and then beheaded.

13. Paul

Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many
epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

But find it easy to read other books?

But very difficult to engage with God?
