AN UNCOMMONLY GOOD COMMONS TALK?
The IPKat has learnt from BoingBoing about a forthcoming copyright-related talk. A forum on open content will be taking place near Marble Arch on Wednesday 22 February, in London at 7pm. The speakers are:
*Paula LeDieu, iCommons
*Cory Doctorow, Writer and Campaigner
*Tom Chance, RemixReading and Free Culture UK
*Jennifer Rigby, BBC Creative Archive
Open sauce invades the IPKat website
Issues on the agenda include "To what extent do monopoly rights such as copyright hinder, or help, the development of open content?"
The IPKat suspects he knows which way the argument will go, but it looks good fun anyway.
