EditShare Lightworks has announced the release of 12 new update professional video editor for Linux, Windows and Mac.

Lightworks is a software for editing video of the most complete and functional currently available for Linux. Also used by several film companies, Lightworks provides a viable alternative to Apple FinalCut, Avid Media Composer and Pinnacle Studio offers powerful tools for processing video in popular formats (including also proprietary formats ProRes, Avid DNxHD, AVC-Intra, H.264, XDCAM EX / HD 42, etc.). In recent days, EditShare has announced the release of Lightworks 12 update that makes it more complete software for video editing as well as improving also the support for the major Linux distributions.

Lightworks 12 improves the various play modes (interlaced or progressive), it also improves the insertion and scan video now faster and more reliable. Debuts the new Content Manager for better management of the various available clips, with Lightworks 12 we can also create and edit filters, also revisited the graphical interface, the new version can drag the file from the file manager to the editor of the video.


Lightworks includes a new dialog box for the export of our project, now much more intuitive interface to make it easier to select the aspect ratio of the video to save.
