Mark Shuttleworth has announced the codename of the new future version which will be 15:04 Vivid Vervet.

Among the many new features in Ubuntu there is also a special codename assigned to each new release dedicated to an animal whose name starts with a letter always progressive. Example in Ubuntu 14.04 was the codename Trusty Thar (TT) while in Ubuntu 10.14 Utopic Unicorn (UU) while in the future version will be 15.04 Vivid Vervet (VV), the codename for Ubuntu 10.15 will begin with Z. To announce the codename for Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet was Mark Shuttleworth, founder of Canonical, a name which comes just days before the highly anticipated release of Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic.

The new "vervet lively" currently there is no known novelty, most likely the developers will be working primarily with the new Unity server 8 and graph Mir hoping to arrive in the coming months support for the proprietary drivers from Nvidia and AMD.
