Install Cairo-Dock 3.4 in Linux Mint and Ubuntu Based Distro

Cairo-Dock is a desktop interface that takes the shape of docks, desklets, panel, etc

The Cairo-Dock team (Fabounet, Matttbe, plus all people who contributed with patches, bug-fixes, ideas and themes) is proud to announce the release of Cairo-Dock 3.4. 
Here are the main changes of Cairo-Dock 3.4:
  • Menus: added the possibility to customise them
  • Style: unified the style of all components of the dock
  • Better integration with Compiz (e.g. when using the Cairo-Dock session) and Cinnamon
  • Applications Menu and Logout applets will wait the end of an update before displaying notifications
  • Various improvements for Applications Menu, Shortcuts, Status-Notifier and Terminal applets
  • Start working on EGL and Wayland support
  • And as always ... various bug fixes and improvements! 
To Install Latest Stable Cairo-Dock 3.4 in Linux Ubuntu (12.04, 12.10, 13.04, 13.10, 14.0, 14.10), mint (14,15,16,17) using PPA's, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins
