Saudi forces on the run as the Houthis closes on Taiz
The Saudi-led Coalition and their allies were recently surprised when the Houthi forces and Yemen Army’s Republican Guard launched a large-scale counter-offensive in the provincial capital of the Ta’iz Governorate after nearly two months of being on the defensive.
Yesterday, the Houthis and Republican Guard captured the main road from Ta’iz to the large coastal city of Dhubab after a violent battle with the Saudi-led Coalition and Hadi loyalists.
As a result of this important military gain, the Houthis and Yemeni Republican Guard have the Saudi-led Coalition and their allies on the run, despite the superior weaponry and air force.
