Which Beard Style Is Right for You?
If you could grow a beard, which kind would you want to have?
A lot of decisions are to be made when deciding on the right facial hair style. Having a beard is a big commitment. There are some reasons you should have one and some why you should not. The beard is symbolically associated with masculinity, but the fact remains that images like the ones on the Sistine chapel tell a very different story. In those images, God is the one with the beard, not man. With a beard, you can wield a power so awesome that Zeus himself foretold of its power.
This man is at competition for beards, it’s a guys competition but women are welcome to watch, and do. A bearded man can make a women weak in the knees, and the kids will never shy away from a Santa with a majestic beard like this one.
Pros: Women love them, men love them, why don’t you have one?
The benefits of having a beard would compile into a very large list. You can look fatherly for your children and manly for your woman. If you can’t grow a full beard there’s nothing to fear, you can always get products to make your facial hair grow better. Can’t see it? Dye it. Your facial hair is perfect, even if you are a woman.
Cons: None
Okay, sometimes food gets caught in it, but that isn’t that bad is it? It’s just another thing to wash later and there are shampoos and oils just for beard hygiene. The fact is that there is no reason that you shouldn’t grow a beard if you can. This is not just a trend, beards are here to stay. Unless men somehow become some sort of hairless freaks, beards will be popular. If a beard looks good on you than you have to grow one, at least once.
This is literally me with a beard.
So which kind do you want?
There are many types of beards. You can let the mustache grow or trim it like I did. Put wax in you mustache and curl it up, get creative with it and shape your beard into something wonderful. Do you want a small one? Trim it then. You can shave a goatee, or even a strip on the jawline. There are more than enough ways to shape it up. There are world beard championships and they have 17 different categories for beards and mustaches that they judge.
The Garibaldi is a rounded beard thats wide on the sides and is medium in length. the mustache is not very long but if you don’t like to trim the sides this is the beard for you. Many people don’t like to comb their beard and all you would have to do to look like this would be to not do that. At all.
This one is The Kaiser and is basically a twisted mustache. If you don’t like your mustache to be in the way this one is right for you. It’s classical and classy with a hint of eccentricity. This is a winner from the World Beard Championships, but this might look better on you. A long mustache can be cool aesthetic especially if combined it with the beard.
This Freestyle beard is not a category to be taken lightly. A lot of work was put into the making of this beard. You have to shape and shape, and use lots of hair product. But if you’re diligent enough you can have a beard as crazy as this one!
And then we have the traditional beard. These beards have one thing in common. The men that grow them don’t shave, at all, for a very long time. This is will power at its finest. Just don’t shave for about 20 years and you’ll have this result. I don’t think this man has ever bought a razor in his life, or used one.
