μ.RAT: an Elecraft K-Pod Input Controller for Arduino or Pi Projects | #hamr #MakerTools

Rich Holoch has been documenting progress with the μ.RAT K-Pod controller project over on his blog – seen above the project is attached to a pair of stepper motors attached to a variable capacitor and roller inductor, with positioning displayed on the Pi OLED display. (Also the custom project logo-sticker is a nice touch!) Rich’s documentation includes thoughts and musings on the maker community, how the project “cuts across” other avenues of making, and of course eventually figuring out how and where to share the project (namely an upcoming “world tour” beginning this month at the East Bay Amateur Radio Club). It’s great to watch projects like this unfold and develop, as well as read the other thoughts they inspire – check out Rich’s blog for more and chime in if you have ideas or thoughts!
