USGS Geologic Atlas of the Moon

Totally agree with Booooooom here, these visualizations are stunning!

In honour of last night’s supermoon I found some moon-related visual inspiration. The January 1st moon was actually the second of three consecutive supermoons — the first was on December 3rd, and the next one will occur January 31st. NASA is calling these a supermoon trilogy (yes, I like space). Anyway, these images are all from the Geologic Atlas of the Moon on the Lunar and Planetary Institute website; I love the colours and the way the data has been visualized.
