GeoGebra is a free software program that lets kids create mathematical constructions and models. They drag objects and adjust parameters to explore algebra and geometry simultaneously.

GeoGebra Editions

GeoGebra has two editions:
- GeoGebra Math Apps that is based on Electron/Chromium, and
- the older GeoGebra Classic for Desktop that is based on Java/Qt.
We recommend GeoGebra Classic for Desktop since it's 100% portable.

Release History

6.0.390.0: It's fixed and contains new features.
6.0.379.0: No new release until the official release fixed. Since version 6.0.379.0 it has "A JavaScript error occurred in the main process".

DIY/Do It Yourself: Upgrade to the Latest Release

Requirements 7-Zip, NPP/Notepad++ or other text editor, PortableApps.com Launcher Generator/PAL, PortableApps.com Installer/PAI.

Get the latest portable app. template, and extract the content with 7-Zip.
Get the latest GeoGebra Classic 6 release, or find it in Reference:GeoGebra Installation page.
Use 7-Zip to extract the downloaded package contents to GeoGebraMathAppsPortable\App\GeoGebra folder,
$Extract to App\GeoGebra$
Browse to GeoGebraMathAppsPortable\App\AppInfo and open appinfo.ini file with NPP. Replace the [Version] section with the latest version number. Make sure the PackageVersion entry is in 4 place digit, eg. 6.0.412.0 not 6.0.412 nor 6.0.
Run PAL, paste the template folder address, and click Go—the new launcher will be created,
Test the new launcher by following this guide.
When all is OK, then delete the GeoGebraMathAppsPortable\Data folder and run PAI, paste the package folder address, and click Go—to create the installer package.
Use the installer package to upgrade your portable application. Don't forget to at least backup your Data folder before any upgrade :)
If you find any changes that's not handled by the launcher, consult the PAL help file to modify the launcher yourself or ask for our paid upgrade support.
