NEW PRODUCTS THIS WEEK
Adafruit 2.13″ Tri-Color eInk / ePaper Display with SRAM – Red Black White : Easy e-paper finally comes to microcontrollers, with this breakout that’s designed to make it a breeze to add a tri-color eInk display. Chances are you’ve seen one of those new-fangled ‘e-readers’ like the Kindle or Nook. They have gigantic electronic paper ‘static’ displays – that means the image stays on the display even when power is completely disconnected. The image is also high contrast and very daylight readable. It really does look just like printed paper!
Adafruit Metro M4 feat. Microchip ATSAMD51 : Are you ready? Really ready? Cause here comes the fastest, most powerful Metro ever. The Adafruit Metro M4 featuring the Microchip ATSAMD51. This Metro is like a bullet train, with it’s 120MHz Cortex M4 with floating point support. Your code will zig and zag and zoom, and with a bunch of extra peripherals for support, this will for sure be your favorite new chipset.
Diffused Blue Indicator LED – 15mm Square : This LED Is super chonky! Bigger than your average LED, it has a big, bold, and beautiful diffused body that measures about 15mm square. Inside is nestled a blue LED, just like you know, with about 3.4V forward voltage. Add a resistor in series and connect to a battery or microcontroller pin for a gorgeous glow. also comes in Red!
Adafruit FeatherWing OLED – 128×32 OLED Add-on For Feather : A Feather board without ambition is a Feather board without FeatherWings! This is the FeatherWing OLED: it adds a 128×32 monochrome OLED plus 3 user buttons to any Feather main board. Using our Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers you can connect a FeatherWing on top of your Feather board and let the board take flight!
These displays are small, only about 1″ diagonal, but very readable due to the high contrast of an OLED display. This screen is made of 128×32 individual white OLED pixels and because the display makes its own light, no backlight is required. This reduces the power required to run the OLED and is why the display has such high contrast; we really like this miniature display for its crispness! We also toss on a reset button and three mini tactile buttons called A B and C so you can add a mini user interface to your feather.
Assembled Adafruit FeatherWing OLED – 128×32 OLED Add-on For Feather :
This is the Assembled FeatherWing OLED: it adds a 128×32 monochrome OLED plus 3 user buttons to any Feather main board. Comes fully assembled so you can connect a FeatherWing on top of your Feather board and let the board take flight, no soldering required!
Raspberry Pi Compute Module M3+ 8 GB : The Compute Module is a Raspberry Pi in a more flexible form factor, intended for industrial application. CM3+ (Compute Module 3+) is the Raspberry Pi 3 B+-based revision of the original Compute Module. The big update to the CM3+ compared to the CM3 series is more eMMC Flash memory and the new heat spreader on the main processor which will let it run at full speed much faster without overheating.
Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ Lite : The Compute Module contains the guts of a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (the BCM2837B0 processor and 1GB RAM). The Lite version does not come with on-module eMMC flash found on the Compute Module 3+. It also does not contain the WiFi/Bluetooth chipset that comes with the Pi 3 B+.
Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+ Dev Kit : The Compute Module 3+ Dev Kit is for those who wish to make use of the Raspberry Pi in a more flexible form factor, intended for industrial applications. The IO Board V3+ is made for developing with CM3+, CM3+/Lite, CM3, CM3L, and CM1.
The accompanying IO Board is a simple, open-source breakout board that you can plug a Compute Module into. The board hosts 120 GPIO pins, an HDMI port, a USB port, two camera ports, and two display ports. Designing the Module into a custom system should be relatively straightforward as the Raspberry Pi Foundation has put all the tricky bits onto the Module itself, and you have the freedom to add extra components and place parts exactly where your product needs them.
Raspberry Pi Official Model 3 A+ Case : Keep your Raspberry Pi® Model A+ (either the original A+ or the newer 3 A+) computer safe and snug in this solid ABS acrylic enclosure.
This case keeps your Pi secure, has labeled holes for connector access, and even comes with four little bumper feet. You can use all of the connectors on the edges of the Pi: HDMI, microSD slot, micro USB power, and the USB port.
2×2 AA Battery Holder with Premium Jumper Header Wires : We’ve got battery holders for all sorts of needs and projects! Waterproof? Here ya go. With an on/off switch? Easy peasy. Here’s our latest addition: 2×2 AA Battery Holder with Premium Header Wires. What’s so special about ’em? Well besides being a nice compact cubic shape, you can plug the wires right into a breadboard! No need to fight with those skinny stripped wires you normally get. Of course, you can always still solder them into a PCB.
